Dr. Steven Friefeld is the Clinical Director of Visioncare Consultants of Florida and provides direct patient care. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and attended the prestigious State University of New York State College of Optometry. Dr. Friefeld specializes in Primary Care Optometry with an emphasis on successful contact lens fittings and wear. He has been an affiliated credentialed provider of eye care services to the Veterans Administration since 2000.

Dr. Friefeld has practiced in South Florida since 1991 and has a special interest in technology-based medical management of eye care conditions. Dr. Friefeld has provided Cataract, Refractive Surgery, Dry Eye Therapy and Glaucoma Management to hundreds of patients. Dr. Friefeld is currently an adjunct professor at Broward College teaching clinical care to students in the opticians program.

A long time South Florida resident, Dr. Friefeld enjoys exploring new places and spending time with his wife and two teenage sons.
